FAS: TWO CARTELS FOR 859.4 MILLION RUBLES HAVE BEEN DETECTED IN MOSCOW
Their conclusion led to the maintenance of bid prices
The Moscow regional office of FAS Russia has established that Sportika LLC and Prosportservice LLC entered into cartel agreements* within the framework of two auctions for the right to supply equipment for sports grounds. The companies acted in each other's interests and actually refused to compete during the bidding process.
According to the results of one of the auctions, Sportika concluded state contracts in total for 320.9 million rubles. According to the results of the second auction, Prosportservice concluded state contracts in total for 538.5 million rubles.
The refusal of economic entities to compete resulted in the maintenance of bid prices. During the consideration of cases of violation of antimonopoly legislation, the companies recognized the fact of concluding cartel agreements.
If found guilty, companies face turnover fines**. In addition, the Moscow regional office of FAS Russia sent materials to law enforcement authorities to resolve the issue of initiating a criminal case.
