DEVELOPMENT OF COMPETITION IN EAEU DIGITAL MARKETS IS IN FOCUS OF FAS RUSSIA
It was stated by Andrey Tsyganov, Deputy Head of FAS Russia, at the site of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)
As part of the dialogue with the EEC, representatives of the authorities and the expert community discussed the state of competition in the digital markets of the EAEU member states.
Andrey Tsyganov noted that FAS Russia implements antimonopoly regulation in the Russian digital markets, focusing on the formation of an open and transparent competitive environment.
He also stressed that the EEC Council is working on measures to improve the EAEU law in the field of competition in commodity markets, including in the digital markets of the EAEU member states.
It should be reminded that the Government of the Russian Federation approved the draft "fifth antimonopoly package". The draft laws included in it are aimed at curbing the abuse of digital platforms by the dominant position and protecting the rights of users of digital services.
In addition, FAS Russia has previously developed the principles of interaction of participants in digital markets. On the one hand, they should contribute to the formation of open, transparent, non-discriminatory conditions for doing business, and on the other hand, ensure the implementation of the constitutional rights of citizens.
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is a permanent supranational regulatory body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The EAEU includes the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.
