FAS has developed a draft "roadmap" for the development of exchange trading

National Competition Development Plan provides for the development of such a market mechanism for the sale of natural resources.

Exchange trading has proved to be an effective market tool that provides a balance of supply and demand of goods on competitive terms, as well as an additional channel for implementation on digital platforms.

Besides, exchange trading allows for the development of competition, transparent pricing, the possibility of hedging currency risks, as well as the possibility of long-term financial planning for business entities.

FAS Russia proposes to create a system of recognized Russian price indicators for commodity assets. This will reduce dependence on foreign suppliers of price information.

The draft roadmap for the development of exchange trading provides for the expansion of the number of commodity products, namely: forest products, aquatic biological resources, petrochemical products, etc.

The document will be submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation in the near future.
