22-07-2022 | 14:00

The draft law* of FAS Russia proposes to extend antimonopoly prohibitions to coordinated actions of economic entities that lead to the establishment of an economically unjustified price of goods, that is not caused by economic factors, such as a significant change in supply or demand, prices for raw materials and supplies, changes in regulated tariffs.

We are talking about an increase in prices by more than 30% within 60 calendar days, which will be recorded by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the conclusion will be sent to the Government of the Russian Federation. Based on the instructions of the Government of the Russian Federation, the service will evaluate the actions of companies for unjustified price increases. The assignment of goods to the category of socially significant goods will be carried out when conducting an appropriate analysis of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

The institute of warning will also operate. In case of its execution administrative responsibility will not arise.

The draft law developed by FAS Russia will allow to promptly stop the unfair behavior of individual economic entities and will contribute to ensuring a balance of supply and demand in the commodity markets. If the law is adopted, these changes will be in effect until the end of 2024.
