FAS: SUBSIDIARY OF GAZPROM HAS REDUCED THE COST OF HELIUM FOR MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS
Now it is 10,319 rubles/kg, which is comparable to the average annual prices of direct contracts for 2021
Helium is used by medical institutions for filling magnetic resonance imaging machines. Taking into account the social importance of its application, the FAS Russia has sent recommendations to Gazprom Gazonefteprodukt Holding LLC on prompt approving the rules for the sale of helium, including for the needs of the healthcare system.
The company was offered to establish a special pricing procedure, which provides for the cost at the level of the average annual price of the organization’s direct contracts for 2021.
Gazprom Gazonefteprodukt Holding LLC was also recommended to establish a special procedure for allocating helium volumes for the needs of medical institutions. The procedure may also include sending applications from medical institutions for a planned monthly volume to a subsidiary of Gazprom, as well as reserving helium for distributors.
The company approved the document in accordance with the recommendations of the FAS Russia.
