THE FAS RUSSIA ISSUED A WARNING TO SHEREMETYEVO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT JSC

The main operator of the airport creates discriminatory conditions for access to infrastructure facilities

The FAS Russia has considered the application of Sheremetyevo-Cargo JSC, an independent cargo and mail processing operator. According to the results, the Authority found signs of violation of the Law on Protection of Competition in the actions of the main operator of Sheremetyevo International Airport*.

The airport places aircraft for long-term parking on the territory of the apron, taxiways and main tracks, near the cargo terminal where the applicant company operates. As a result, aircraft cannot drive directly to the cargo terminal of the complex for cargo processing by the applicant. This forces airlines to make processing cargo using the services of another company.

The Authority issued a warning to the airport about the inadmissibility of these actions and the need to take measures to eliminate signs of the violation of antimonopoly legislation. The warning is aimed at leveling the conditions of companies' activities at Sheremetyevo Airport.

Sheremetyevo International Airport must comply with the warning within a month. In case of its non-fulfillment, the FAS Russia has the right to initiate a case on violation of antimonopoly legislation.
