FAS ISSUED A WARNING TO THE MAIN OPERATOR OF PULKOVO AIRPORT

The company Air Gates of the Northern Capital abused its dominant position in providing access to the airport infrastructure

The Authority found that the repeated appeals of Pobeda Airlines to the main operator of the airport with a request to provide access to infrastructure facilities for ground handling of Pobeda aircraft by a subsidiary of OOO Pobeda Handling were left out of the consideration.

According to the calculations of the air carrier, the cost of aircraft maintenance in this case would be reduced by 40-50% of the operator's current tariffs, which would allow selling air tickets from St. Petersburg at lower prices.

According to the FAS Russia, the actions of the airport operator are an abuse of dominant position and restrict competition in the passenger service market. The Authority issued a warning to the airport operator about the need to stop inaction and consider the applications of Pobeda Handling by October 3, 2022.

In case of non-fulfillment of the warning, the Authority has the right to initiate a case on violation of antimonopoly legislation.
