FAS RUSSIA WILL PROVIDE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE WITH DATA ON VIOLATORS IN THE FIELD OF STATE DEFENCE ORDERS
The measure is aimed at ensuring proper execution of contracts in the interests of state defence
This September amendments were made to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,* which provide for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years for violating the terms of the state defence order and for up to 8 years for refusal or evasion of its execution.
This measure is applied to suppliers who have previously been subject to administrative liability for similar violations.
Following the results of the meeting in the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, it was decided that FAS Russia will provide prosecutors with permanent access to information about persons brought to administrative responsibility for the failure of contracts for the supply of defence products.
It will allow law enforcement agencies to take prompt measures against persons disrupting the supply of products necessary for state defence.
