FAS: TARIFF AUTHORITY OF THE LENINGRAD REGION IS DELAYING TIMING OF CONNECTION TO WASTEWATER DISPOSAL OF THE ETHANE-CONTAINING GAS PROCESSING COMPLEX

FAS Russia issued a warning to the Committee on Tariffs and Pricing Policy of the region

FAS Russia received a complaint from Baltic Chemical Complex LLC. Based on the results of its review the authority found that there are signs of violation of the antimonopoly legislation in the actions of the regional governmental body.

The Committee on Tariffs and Pricing Policy of the Leningrad region has not established a fee for Kingisepp Vodokanal JSC* for connection to the water disposal system of a complex for processing ethane-containing gas.

Such actions may lead to a violation of the Law on Protection of Competition**.

The tariff body in the region within 30 days from the date of receipt of the warning of FAS Russia must establish a fee for Kingisepp Vodokanal JSC for connecting to the water disposal system.

* It is planned to connect an ethane-containing gas processing complex in the territory of the Kingisepp municipal district of the Leningrad region. It provides for the construction of a gas processing plant, a gas chemical complex and transport infrastructure facilities.
