Kirov Regional Office of FAS Russia has completed the consideration of the case against Lukoil-Uralnefteprodukt LLC on the grounds of violation of the Law on Protection of Competition (Paragraph 1 of the Part 1 of the Article 10).
The Regional Office of FAS Russia found the dominance of this company in the gasoline commodity market within the region.
During the case review, the facts were confirmed that the company's expenses, which are necessary for the retail sale of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline, were decreased by reducing the cost of buying petroleum products in the wholesale segment.
Thus, there were no objective economic grounds for increasing the cost at the Lukoil gas station.
According to the results of the case, the increase in retail prices for AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline was found to be unjustified.
The actions of Lukoil-Uralnefteprodukt LLC infringe on the rights and interests of consumers of the Kirov region.
The company has been issued remedies to eliminate violations.
