FAS RECOGNIZED ADVERTISEMENT OF EVALAR MEDICINE GINKOUM VIOLATING THE LAW ON ADVERTISING

FAS Russia issued a ruling to the company to stop violating the advertising legislation and imposed a fine

FAS Russia received a complaint about the advertising of the medicine "Ginkoum", distributed on the air of the TV channels "Russia 1" and "NTV".

In the commercial, the manufacturer guaranteed the positive effect of the medicine and its effectiveness in the treatment of venous and blood diseases.

Commission of FAS Russia recognized the advertising of the medicine "Ginkoum" inappropriate. In accordance with the legislation, advertising of a medicinal product should not guarantee the positive effect of the advertised object, its safety, effectiveness and absence of side effects [1].

FAS Russia issued Evalar CJSC as an advertiser a ruling to stop violating the Law on Advertising. The authority also imposed a fine of 300 thousand rubles on the company [2].

It should be reminded that in 2019, FAS Russia has already brought Evalar to administrative responsibility for improper advertising of the same medicine.
