FAS RUSSIA INITIATED CASE AGAINST A REGIONAL OPERATOR FOR MSW TREATMENT

The actions of the Center for Environmental Safety LLC revealed signs of violation of antimonopoly legislation

CES LLC performs the functions of a regional operator for the treatment of MSW throughout the Belgorod region and occupies a dominant position in the market.

FAS Russia received complaints from market participants about the company's actions, including the conditions for conducting competitive procedures for the selection of waste transporters, which could lead to a reduction in the number of potential participants.

Thus, the actions of the regional operator contain signs of violation of the Law on Protection of Competition*.

In this regard, the authority initiated a case against the company.

Its first consideration will take place in February 2023.
