These included the Sverdlovsk, Novgorod, Pskov regions, Primorsky territory, Khabarovsk territory

On January 19, 2022 the Regional Energy Commission of the Sverdlovsk Region reduced the daily tariff by 18%, the peak tariff by 5%. By this decision, the tariff authority of the subject of the Russian Federation executed the ruling of FAS Russia.

Earlier, the authority revealed that the tariffs in the daytime and in the peak zone in this region were set with violations. FAS Russia canceled the resolution of the REC of the Sverdlovsk region and ordered the tariff authority of the subject of the Russian Federation to set new tariffs by February 1, 2023.

Recall that the zonal principle of setting tariffs implies a difference in the cost of one kilowatt of electricity at a certain time. For example, the electricity tariff, differentiated by three zones of the day, provides for different costs in the so-called "peak zone" (from 7 to 9 and from 17 to 20 hours), half-peak zone (from 9 to 17 and from 20 to 23 hours) and night zone (from 23 to 7 hours).

This principle helps to evenly distribute the load on the power grid, ensure its reliable operation and increase efficiency.

As part of the prevention of violations of the law in December 2022, FAS Russia analyzed the established electricity tariffs by zones of the day in the regions.

Thus, the regional tariff authorities of the Novgorod Region, Pskov Region, Primorsky territory, Khabarovsk territory, on the recommendation of FAS Russia, in December reduced electricity tariffs by day zones, which were previously adopted from December 1, 2022.

In the Novgorod region, for the urban population without electric stoves and electric heating installations, the night tariff decreased by 18.47% and the peak tariff – by 27.68%.

For the urban population with electric stoves and electric heating installations and the rural population, the night tariff decreased by 18.6% and the peak tariff – by 27.72%.

In the Pskov region, the electricity tariff for the urban population without electric stoves and electric heating installations in the peak zone of the day decreased by 33%. For the urban population with electric stoves and electric heating installations, the peak tariff decreased by 33.1% and for the rural population – by 33.11%.

In the Khabarovsk territory, the peak electricity tariff for the urban population without electric stoves and electric heating installations decreased by 13.11%. For the urban population with electric stoves and electric heating installations and the rural population – by 13.12%.

In Primorsky territory, the electricity tariff in the peak zone of the day has been reduced by 7.82% for the urban population whose living quarters are not equipped with electric stoves and electric heating installations.

For the population with electric stoves and electric heating installations, the peak tariff was reduced by 7.75% and for the rural population, the peak tariff was reduced by 7.89%.
