FAS RECOMMENDS CONSTRUCTION MARKET PARTICIPANTS TO PURCHASE BITUMEN ON EXCHANGE

All the necessary for this purpose organizational and technical conditions have been created

Vertically integrated oil companies have stepped up efforts to supply bitumen to the stock exchange. The companies were informed about this at a meeting of the Exchange Committee of FAS Russia.

Currently, the seasonal demand for bitumen is beginning due to the start of construction of road, housing infrastructure and social facilities. The issue of creating an organization of exchange trading is especially relevant on the eve of the spring and summer season. At this time, regional authorities are actively carrying out work on the reconstruction of roads, city streets, the construction of schools, hospitals, including within the framework of national projects. Bitumen is one of the important components of the repairs and construction of these facilities.

Besides, the exchange indicator will become a reference point for government customers when determining the initial maximum price of contracts within the framework of purchases.
