ANTIMONOPOLY AUTHORITIES OF RUSSIA AND IRAN SIGNED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING IN THE FIELD OF COMPETITION POLICY
The document was signed by Maxim Shaskolsky, Head of FAS Russia, and Seyedmohammadreza Seyednourani, Chairman of the National Competition Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran
The Memorandum establishes mechanisms and priority areas of joint work. The document will contribute to the further development of cooperation between antimonopoly regulators and Russian-Iranian cooperation in general.
The Memorandum was signed following the results of a bilateral meeting, during which representatives of the authorities discussed the current areas of work of each of the bodies and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation.
Maxim Shaskolsky, Head of FAS Russia, spoke about the active interaction of the FAS Russia with foreign colleagues, including in multilateral formats (CIS, EAEU, BRICS), and also invited Iranian colleagues to take part in upcoming events of the FAS Russia, scheduled to be held in 2023, in order to exchange experience and practices.
Such interaction will contribute to the improvement of law enforcement, the study of innovations in the competition legislation of another state, obtaining information about precedent cases and decisions taken.
