FAS: MEDICAL ORGANIZATIONS CAN CONCLUDE DIRECT CONTRACTS FOR SUPPLY OF LIQUID HELIUM WITH GAZPROM SUBSIDIARY

FAS Russia and Roszdravnadzor plan to develop a model contract for the purchase of liquid helium by medical organizations from Gazprom GNP Holding LLC. Currently, there is a stable situation with the dynamics of prices under direct contracts.

However, there is a significant increase in its price on the electronic trading platform, which may eventually affect the cost of medical diagnostic services using MRI devices.

The authority notes that in order to prevent this growth, healthcare institutions have the opportunity to purchase helium under direct contracts, and with service organizations – to purchase services for its delivery.

FAS Russia recommends that medical institutions consider the possibility of purchasing helium under direct contracts in order to optimize costs.
