FAS, FEDERATION COUNCIL, MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND MINISTRY OF ENERGY DISCUSSED MEASURES TO PREVENT UNJUSTIFIED PRICE INCREASES
Currently, spring-field works have begun in some regions of the Russian Federation. The price availability of fuels and lubricants for agricultural producers became the main topic of the meeting, which was held in the antimonopoly authority.
The participants noted that now the cost of petroleum products remains stable. For example, the exchange (wholesale) price of summer diesel fuel is lower by 1,700 rubles (3.4 %) compared to the same period last year.
At the meeting, it was decided that the headquarters of FAS Russia and the Ministry of Energy will strengthen their work in terms of monitoring prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in the regions, including for farmers. The departments will also work out the issue of increasing the standards for the sale of diesel fuel on the stock exchange.
Besides, on the proposal of FAS Russia in December 2022, the Government of the Russian Federation adopted a decree, which from April 1, 2023 provides for a subsidy for the transportation of petroleum products by rail.
It is aimed at supporting consumers of the regions in Far Eastern Federal District, including for agricultural producers. In addition, the list of regions for the transportation of petroleum products at a subsidized tariff has been expanded – it includes the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Irkutsk Region.
At the end of the meeting, the participants stressed that spring-field work is a large complex of activities, the success of which depends on coordinated work at all levels.
