FAS INITIATED CASE AGAINST THE KURGAN MEAT FACTORY "STANDARD"

The authority found signs of unfair competition in its actions

Earlier, FAS Russia received a complaint about the actions of this manufacturer from Orelproduct JSC, which is a part of the Glavproduct group of companies.

According to the authority, the label of canned meat of the "Family Stock" series of the meat processing plant has signs of similarity with the label of stewed beef "Family Budget", which has been produced by Orelproduct since 2011. Thus, the activity of Kurgan Meat Processing Plant "Standard" LLC can be aimed at obtaining advantages by using the reputation of a competitor that has developed in the market.

FAS Russia will assess the actions of the organization for unfair competition in the form of mixing with the activities of the Glavprodukt group of companies. If the Authority find a violation, the meat processing plant will receive an order from FAS Russia to eliminate it, and be fined in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation.
