FAS INITIATED CASE ON THE GROUNDS OF ILLEGAL PLACEMENT OF GLOHYPER+ ADVERTISING

The case was initiated against the Miratorg trading network and British American Tobacco Group companies (International Tobacco Marketing Services JSC, British American Tobacco-SPB JSC)

FAS Russia has found that advertising of the tobacco heating system glohyper+* is distributed on the structures in the trading floor of the Miratorg store in Moscow.

The current legislation provides for a ban on advertising of any tobacco and nicotine-containing products as well as devices for its consumption**.

FAS Russia initiated a case on signs of violation of the Law on Advertising against both the advertiser and the advertising distributor ***.

If found guilty, violators face liability in accordance with the Law on Advertising ****.
