FAS: HIGHLY COMPETITIVE GRAIN EXPORT MARKET HAS BEEN FORMED IN RUSSIA
It was announced at the Russian Grain Forum by Larisa Vovkivskaya, Head of the Department for Control over Agro-industrial Complex
The forum discussed the state of competition in the grain market, particularly in the context of the departure of foreign companies. According to the authority, the activities of international traders have an impact on ensuring competition. However, their role within the state is not decisive, their total share this season is less than 15 %.
In addition, Russian exporters surpass them in terms of business scale and form Russia's position as one of the leading grain suppliers to the world market.
Besides, a high level of competition has been formed in the global grain trading market, respectively, other exporters will be able to take the place of the departed companies. The speaker noted the openness to cooperation with all companies whose activities contribute to the development of the country's food market and its export potential.
Larisa Vovkivskaya also stressed the promising possibilities of the grain market for Russian entrepreneurs.
At the end of her speech, the speaker concluded that it was necessary to create conditions for the development of competition throughout the commodity distribution chain of the Russian grain market, including export.
