FAS INITIATED A CASE AGAINST THE LARGEST CLAY PRODUCER COMPANY SIMPREAL

Simpreal PJSC has more than twice increased the price of clay in 2022

Due to the large number of applications received about the increase in the cost of refractory clay, FAS Russia analyzed the state of competition in this market.

FAS Russia found that this market is highly concentrated, and the company Simpreal is one of the largest manufacturers.

The analysis of the company's business performance indicators showed that the price set by it exceeds the amount of necessary expenses and profits for production and sale.

The authority initiated a case against Simpreal PJSC on violation of antimonopoly legislation*.

If the organization is found guilty, it faces a turnover fine in accordance with the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the authority initiated a case against another major clay producer, the Orsk Non-metallic Company.
