FAS RUSSIA AND ANTIMONOPOLY AUTHORITY OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC SIGNED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF COMPETITION POLICY
The document was signed by Maxim Shaskolsky, Head of FAS Russia, and Keneshbay Tailakov, Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic
The signing took place in the framework of the negotiations of the parties.
Maxim Shaskolsky told about the work of FAS Russia, which aims to support Russian companies, small and medium entrepreneurship, improvement of legislation in the field of state order and ensuring the availability of goods and services.
Keneshbai Tailakov, in turn, shared the results of the antimonopoly body of Kyrgyzstan over the past years. He said that the agency actively applies the experience of FAS Russia, as well as studies the law enforcement and judicial practice of colleagues.
The parties noted that one of the main directions of the state policy of both countries in the current conditions is the maintenance and ensuring competition in all commodity markets.
"The FAS Russia has accumulated significant competencies in various fields of activity, which allows us to share experience and expert opinions with colleagues, as well as study approaches and methods of antimonopoly regulation of other countries in order to develop the economy," said Maxim Shaskolsky.
Keneshbay Tailakov noted: "Close cooperation with FAS Russia in the framework of the Memorandum will allow to achieve significant results, which will improve the lives of citizens and consumers".
Memorandum establishes the mechanisms and priorities for joint work, including exchange of experience in the field of consideration of cases on violations of the antimonopoly legislation and information about the state of commodity markets, as well as providing information on legislation and guidance.
The document will contribute to the further development of cooperation between antimonopoly regulators, as well as Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation in the sphere of competition policy.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to define the work plan of joint action. They noted that the objectives of antimonopoly authorities aimed at the protection and development of competition and the strengthening of cooperation between the regulators will allow to reach a new level.

Negotiations and signing of the Memorandum took place in the framework of the 54th Session of the Interstate Council on Antimonopoly policy, which is the body of sectoral cooperation of the CIS.
