FAS AGREED ON THE PREFERENCE OF KIRENSK AIRPORT LLC IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE POPULATION OF THE FAR NORTH

Its provision will contribute to insuring year-round flights to remote territories of the region that do not have land-based connection with Irkutsk

The Irkutsk regional office of the Federal Agency for State Property Management applied to FAS Russia for approval of the state preference.  It is about the lend-lease of the airfield Kirensk Runway to Airport Kirensk LLC for the purpose of ensuring the vitality of the population in the Far North and areas equated to them.

The Authority found that the company is engaged in airport activities, as well as passenger transportation by air. In addition, the activities of Airport Kirensk LLC comply with the certification requirements for the airfield operator.

The Antimonopoly Service established that the company’s activities meet the stated purpose of the preference and coordinated its provision with restrictions. These include the targeted use of the object without transferring the rights to use the property to other persons and limiting the validity of the preference for three years.

FAS Russia will monitor compliance with the requirements of antimonopoly legislation when using preferences. If violations are detected, the Authority issues an order to take appropriate measures*.
