FAS: 427.7 MILLION RUBLES OF UNJUSTIFIED FUNDS WERE EXCLUDED FROM TARIFFS IN THE NOVGOROD REGION

The regional tariff regulator unreasonably included these funds in the tariffs for water supply and sanitation

It should be reminded that in 2022, FAS Russia revealed violations in the actions of the Committee on Tariff Policy of the Novgorod Region when setting tariffs for water supply and sanitation services for the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Novgorod Vodokanal".

During the scheduled inspection, the Authority found that the company had not properly implemented the measures of investment and production programs, and the regulatory body illegally included 427.7 million rubles in the company’s required gross revenue for 2018-2020.

In order to prevent the bankruptcy of the organization, the regional tariff regulator plans to exclude the identified funds on a staged basis.

In this regard, the regulatory body makes commitments to set tariffs for water supply and sanitation services for the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Novgorodsky Vodokanal" without growth until 2027.

FAS Russia will monitor the execution of the exclusion of funds from tariffs by the regional tariff authority.
