PUBLIC COUNCIL UNDER FAS RUSSIA DISCUSSED ISSUES OF ADVERTISING SELF-REGULATION
It was about the development and regulation of self-regulation institutions in the field of advertising
Andrey Sharonov, Chairman of the Public Council of FAS Russia, opened the session. The position on the issues of the agenda was presented by Gennady Magazinov, Deputy Head of FAS Russia, and heads of departments.
In accordance with the Law on Advertising, a self-regulating organization in this field recognizes the association of advertisers, advertisement producers and marketing promoters, which is created to develop requirements for compliance with ethical norms in advertising and to ensure control over their implementation.
Members of the Public Council noted that the development of the self-regulation institutions contributes to the development of standards and recommendations, as well as to raising the level of legal culture and responsibility of the advertising industry.
At the same time, it is important that the activities of such organizations in the field of advertising are developed in accordance with normative legal acts that regulate the interaction of the agency with the agencies of the self-regulation institutions. This would avoid legal uncertainty.
In the framework of the meeting, members of the Public Council also discussed issues of competitiveness in the agro-industrial complex.
