FAS: SINCE JULY 1, 2023 WATER SUPPLY TARIFFS FOR SHCHEKINSKAYA GRES LLC HAVE BEEN REDUCED BY 44 %

The authority satisfied the applicant company's request

The subject of consideration of the pre-trial settlement of disagreements between the organization and the Tula Region Tariff Committee was the validity of the established tariff for technical water supply for Shchekinskaya GRES LLC.

The authority found out that the regional regulator, when setting tariffs for Shchekinskaya GRES LLC for 2023, took into account an artificially lowered by 72 % volume of the useful supply of technical water supply. As a justification, arguments were given about the lack of water supplies to Shchekinoazot JSC.

The authority notes that in tariff regulation there is a direct correlation between costs and the volume of sales to consumers of the resource (the so-called useful vacation). Thus, the artificial underestimation of the useful vacation directly affects the increase in the tariff. At the same time, the authority revealed that in fact the supply of water to Shchekinoazot was continued.

As a result of the consideration of the pre-trial settlement, FAS Russia ordered the regulator to recalculate the volume of sales of services for Shchekinskaya GRES for 2023 by August 1, 2023, taking into account the identified circumstances.

The regional tariff authority has already fulfilled the order of FAS Russia. It allowed reducing the tariff for the water supply of this organization in the Tula region by 44 % relative to the previously established tariff for 2023.
