FAS AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN OF RUSSIA HAVE SIGNED AN AGREEMENT ON INFORMATION INTERACTION
The document was signed by Maxim Shaskolsky, Head of FAS Russia, and Yuri Voronin, Chief Financial Ombudsman of Russia
The parties will exchange information on systemic violations of the rules for the provision of financial services, unacceptable practices of financial organizations and legal positions on various issues.
Besides, within the framework of the Agreement, FAS Russia and Chief Financial Ombudsman will conduct mutual consultations and measures to improve the level of financial literacy of consumers. Such an exchange of information will allow timely suppression of violations in the financial market, as well as prevent possible negative consequences for competition.
In addition, cooperation within the framework of the Agreement will allow taking into account the legal position of both parties when protecting consumer rights.
Joint work within the framework of the Agreement will allow to quickly obtain information that will be used, in particular, to analyze the state of the competitive environment in the financial services markets and develop proposals for improving legislation in this area.
