The authority has drafted an order that will transfer the process of approving transactions into electronic form

Control over economic concentration is one of the key elements of antimonopoly regulation. Transactions with the value of the acquired assets over 800 million rubles and the total value of the assets of the acquirer and the object over 7 billion rubles, or transactions with the total revenue of the acquirer and the object over 10 billion rubles, are subject to preliminary approval.

On the one hand, this work requires a thorough analysis of the transaction and its impact on competition, and on the other hand, efficiency in making decisions to prevent a decline in economic activity and a negative impact on the investment climate.

As part of the project to optimize licensing activities, FAS Russia has worked out the transferring the approval of transactions of economic concentration into electronic form using the portal of public services.

It will allow applicants to monitor the stage and timing of consideration of the application in real time in their personal account, as well as increase the speed of decision-making and transparency of the procedure.

At the moment, the draft order is undergoing a public discussion procedure. Its adoption and launch of the new mechanism in pilot mode is planned in the 3rd quarter of this year.
