FAS RUSSIA SUMMED UP RESULTS OF ANTI-CARTEL ACTIVITIES FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2023

FAS Russia has established the most cartelized markets - roads, security services, pharmaceuticals, construction and social catering
In the first half of 2023, FAS Russia initiated 139 cases on violation of antimonopoly legislation on the grounds of concluding competition restriction agreements, illegal coordination of economic activities and implementation of concerted actions. The authority issued 100 rulings on violation of antimonopoly legislation.
According to preliminary results, the total amount of illegally extracted income by participants of anticompetitive agreements amounted to 42 billion rubles. Violations were found in 46 regions of the country.
As part of the monitoring and control of the implementation of national projects, FAS Russia initiated 9 cases with a total amount of maximum starting price of contract of 5.6 billion rubles. 18 rulings were made on violation of antimonopoly legislation with a total amount of 36.9 billion rubles by the maximum starting price of contract.
Violations were found as part of the implementation of the national projects "Safe quality roads", "Housing and urban environment", "Health", "Demography", "Education", "Culture" and "Ecology".
