SEMI-FINAL OF THE ACADEMY #LEADERSFAS-2023 PROJECT WAS HELD IN KAZAN

The project is aimed at improving competencies and developing managerial skills

At the opening of the semi-final, Gennady Magazinov, Deputy Head of FAS Russia, made a welcoming speech. He noted that the goal of the project is not only to create an effective employee training system, but also to prepare participants for professional growth and help achieve new goals.

In 2023, the Academy includes 7 independent educational and competitive programs aimed at developing professional knowledge, personal effectiveness, managerial and communication skills of participants.

All the test tasks, master classes, business games and business cases are adapted to different groups of participants depending on positions and places of work:

-       heads of regional offices of FAS Russia (level I);

-       managers (level II);

-       employees holding the position up to the deputy head of the division (level III);

-       employees of the central offices of federal executive authorities and state extra-budgetary funds of the senior and leading groups of positions (level IV);

-       university students (level V);

-       press-secretaries of the regional offices of FAS Russia (level VI);

-       employees of the antimonopoly authorities of the CIS countries (level VII).

This year, 1,370 applications for participation in the project were submitted by employees of FAS Russia and its regional offices, 34 federal executive authorities, as well as for the first time in the history of the project – by students of 86 universities of the country. 105 participants reached the semifinals, which resulted in 52 finalists being determined. Additionally, 10 best press-secretaries of the regional offices of FAS Russia and 14 representatives of the CIS states will take part in the next stage. Previously, they successfully passed three stages of distance testing for general knowledge, professional competencies, numerical and verbal skills, and a test of personal and professional potential.

Besides, an extensive program of master classes and business games developed especially for the project was prepared for the participants of the semi-final.

In Kazan, the semifinalists were addressed by lecturers of the Russian Society "Knowledge". Natalia Kaspersky, president of the InfoWatch Group of companies, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Software Developers (ARPP) Domestic Software. She discussed with the participants of the program topical issues of the development of digital technologies and their impact on the life of a modern person.  The expert spoke about what user data is collected on the network and what personal security on the Internet is based on. Natalia Kaspersky in her speech stressed the importance of an open dialogue between society and the state, which will determine the criteria for regulating the digital environment, as well as the risks faced by every citizen.

The program also included a lecture by Dmitry Khodanovich, Head of the OpenMind Psychological Consulting Laboratory Project. The expert spoke about the importance of psychological aspects in the work and the development of the strengths of the specialist.

Yulia Elizarova, a polygrapher and clinical psychologist, gave a lecture on effective planning, and entrepreneur Vyacheslav Moskovsky shared cases of applying managerial skills.

FAS Russia launched the personnel project #LeadersFAS in April 2019. In the same year, the project was recognized as the best personnel practice according to the results of the All-Russian competition of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation "Best personnel practices and initiatives in the system of state and municipal administration".

A number of semi-finalists and finalists of the projects were promoted, headed the regional offices and departments of the central office of FAS Russia.
