FAS FOUND KURGAN MEAT PROCESSING PLANT "STANDARD" VIOLATING ANTIMONOPOLY LAW

The company put products into circulation, copying the packaging of a competitor

Earlier, FAS Russia received an application of Orelproduct JSC about violation of antimonopoly legislation by Kurgan Meat Processing Plant Standard LLC, expressed in unfair competition.

Kurgan meat processing plant Standard produced and sold canned meat "Family Stock". Their design and name were similar to the canned food "Family Budget" produced by Orelproduct JSC, which was previously put into circulation in the market. The similarity of the design consisted in the same composition of the labels, as well as the use of a white background, red graphic elements, an image of a mottled cow and the inscription "Beef" in capital letters. In addition, the company used a similar name in meaning.

Commission of FAS Russia recognized the actions of Kurgan Meat Processing Plant Standard LLC as a violation of antimonopoly legislation. An administrative case will be initiated against the company.

Kurgan Meat Processing Plant announced the cessation of the production of canned food of the "Family Stock" series with a controversial design and provided the relevant evidence to the authority.
