FAS RUSSIA OPENED A CASE AGAINST THE MANUFACTURER OF ESTEL PRODUCTS

The authority will check the activities of Unicosmetic LLC for violations of the Law on Protection of Competition

Earlier, FAS Russia received an appeal from IFB LLC about a violation of antimonopoly legislation by Unicosmetic, which was expressed in unfair competition.

IFB sells hair products under the KAPOUS brand, and Unicosmetic produces and sells Estel cosmetic products. Since 2017, the companies have simultaneously promoted product lines on the market under the designation BLOND BAR. In 2021, Unicosmetic registered the trademark "BLOND BAR couture", after which it submitted a demand to IFB to stop using the controversial designation.

FAS Russia opened a case against the company for violating antimonopoly legislation. To consider it, a commission has been created that will check the activities of Unicosmetic for violations of the Law on Protection of Competition*.
