HEADS OF COMPETITION AUTHORITIES OF BRICS COUNTRIES SIGNED NEW DELHI JOINT STATEMENT
Signing took place following a meeting of the BRICS Coordination Committee on Antimonopoly Policy within the framework of the 8th BRICS Competition Conference in New Delhi, India
The participants of the statement are the heads of antimonopoly regulators of Russia, Brazil, India, China and South Africa. The document is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the competition authorities of the BRICS countries.
According to the document, the agencies will continue to exchange information, experience and practices. The statement is intended to strengthen enforcement mechanisms and promote fair competition in the jurisdictions of the BRICS countries.
The participants also noted the importance of the BRICS Coordination Committee and the need to support the Working Groups for the research of Competition Issues in Socially Important Markets and the Working Group on Cartels.
Besides, the heads of authorities determined that the 9th BRICS Competition Conference would be held in South Africa in 2025.
