The authority also recommended that retail chains proportionally reduce their cost in stores

Earlier, FAS Russia sent requests to the largest producers of chicken meat Cherkizovo Group PJSC, GAP Resource PJSC and Prioskolye JSC, occupying a collective dominant position, in order to analyze the validity of the set prices.

As a result of interaction with the authority, producers decided to reduce the selling prices for the broiler carcass. They notified FAS Russia about it. Similar letters were sent by the companies to retail chains.

FAS Russia also sent letters to retail chains with a recommendation to reduce retail prices for consumers proportionally in case of price cuts or discounts on chicken meat by suppliers.

The authority draws attention to the need for responsible behavior of participants in the entire commodity production chain and the inadmissibility of unjustified price increases for chicken meat and other food products.

FAS Russia will monitor the fulfillment of the obligations and the principles of responsible pricing by retail chains.
