MTS WILL COMPLY WITH AUTHORITY'S WARNING ON CANCELLATION OF FEE FOR INTERNET SHARING

The company cancels this fee at all tariffs

The telecom operator has notified FAS Russia on the cancellation of the fee for sharing Internet traffic on the tariffs providing for unlimited traffic.

Taking into account the deadlines for technical implementation, it was decided to extend the deadline for execution of the warning for the company. So, the corresponding settings in the tariff plans for all subscribers will be implemented no later than February 29, 2024.

FAS Russia notes that the cancellation of the fee for such a service will not be a reason for increasing the prices for  communication tariffs of operators.

The authority draws attention to the fact that sharing of Internet traffic is the use by the subscriber of the functions of his own device and not a service of a cellular operator for which the subscriber needs to pay.
