GOVERNMENT OF KEMEROVO REGION HELPS LOCAL PRODUCERS TO OPEN TRADING PLATFORMS

This measure of assistance to agricultural producers has become one of the best pro-competitive practices in Russia

As part of the implementation of the Competition Development Standard, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kuzbass provides farmers with trading places for the sale of grown products.

This measure allows farms without the status of an individual entrepreneur to participate in regional and local fairs. It contributes to the expansion of agricultural sales markets for small farms without an intermediary link and lower prices for end consumers.

Therefore, in 2022, the department organized 499 outlets at fairs, as well as 1,309 specially designated places for seasonal sale of grown products.

The examples collected in the "White Paper" are the best regional practices for development of competition. They are implemented within the framework of the Competition Development Standard and the National Competition Development Plan in the Russian Federation for 2021-2025, and the positive experience of the regions can be applied in other subjects.
