The authority continues to monitor the fuel pricing situation

Tver Regional Office of FAS Russia issued a warning to SO Tvernefteprodukt LLC about necessity of termination of illegal evasion from concluding a contract for supply of petroleum products with Tver-Oil LLC.

Evasion from the conclusion of the contract led to the fact that Tver-Oil LLC was forced to purchase diesel fuel in the neighboring region. This situation led to its rise in price for consumers, including agricultural producers.

SO Tvernefteprodukt LLC reported on the execution of the warning of the Tver RO of FAS Russia.

Tyva RO of FAS Russia initiated a case against 5 companies selling petroleum products in Kyzyl city. Based on the results of the initial analysis of the documents, signs of an anti-competitive agreement were revealed. Monitoring held by the authority indicates a progressive decrease in the retail cost of gasoline and diesel in the region.

Currently, the authority notes a decrease in the exchange (wholesale) prices of AI-92 and AI-95 to the level of February-March 2023. As a result, it leads to a stabilization of the value in the retail segment. In some regions, there is a decrease in the cost of gas stations for vertically integrated companies and independent networks.

Besides, on December 6, 2023, the Exchange Committee of FAS Russia recommended to oil companies to increase production of winter diesel fuel and sell it on the stock exchange in greater volume.
