Now the manufacturer of concrete blocks has to take action to ensure competition

In December 2022, the group of companies «Bonolit» during the antimonopoly investigation was found to have violated the competition legislation against the background of a sharp increase in the prices for concrete blocks. During the consideration of the case, the manufacturer reduced the price of products by more than 2 times.

FAS Russia has issued to a group of companies a remedy aimed at ensuring competition in the market of concrete blocks. In particular, the group of companies «Bonolit» needs to adopt an internal act providing for the procedure of pricing and trade-marketing policy in the market of concrete blocks. The price of concrete cannot be increased without economic or technological justification.

The Bonolit group tried to appeal the decision and the remedy of the Authority, but the courts of two instances supported the FAS Russia position. The remedy came into force on December 19, 2023.
