FAS RUSSIA STARTED INSPECTIONS OF LARGEST RETAIL CHAINS
The FAS Russia continues to analyze the pricing of chicken eggs throughout the entire supply chain
Earlier, the Service inspected the producers of chicken eggs. Today, the FAS Russia has launched inspections of "Perekrestok", "Magnit", "Dixie", "Pyaterochka", "Lenta", "OK", "Metro", "Auchan" and other retail chains in a number of regions.
Inspections are carried out for the conclusion of anti-competitive agreements between retail chains, which could lead to an increase in the cost of socially significant goods. In particular, the prices of chicken eggs are checked during purchases under long-term contracts and tenders, information on the volume of purchases and sales, etc.
The FAS Russia based on the results of inspection activities, as well as an analysis of all the information received will make conclusions on the presence or absence of signs of violation of antimonopoly legislation in the actions of the audited persons. If any signs of violation of antimonopoly legislation are found, the FAS Russia will take immediate response measures.
The FAS Russia reminds that regardless of the market situation, the participants of the entire commodity distribution chain must adhere to responsible, socially oriented behavior and prevent unjustified price increases for goods.
The unscheduled on-site control and supervisory activities are coordinated by the Prosecutor General's Office in accordance with the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 336*.
