FAS explained the most pressing issues of qualifying abuse of market dominance
The Antimonopoly Service drafted explanations on the most pressing issues of establishing market dominance of an economic entity, qualifying abuse of market dominance and developing enforcement of a new tool of antimonopoly control as warning to stop actions (omissions) that have signs of violating the antimonopoly law.
The explanations for applying Article 10 of the Federal Law “On protection of Competition” were devised by FAS Working Group involving representatives of the Corporate Counsel Association. The explanations are approved by FAS Presidium.
Deputy Head of FAS pointed out: “The document issued by FAS Presidium is designed to create uniform antimonopoly enforcement practice. The explanations facilitate the rules for evidence of abusing market dominance to become clearer and more transparent for the market participants in general”.
