Representatives of BRICS competition authorities discussed the event details at a meeting in Columbia
Representatives of BRICS competition authorities had a meeting on 16 May 2019 at the Annual Conference of the International Competition Network (ICN) in Cartagena (Columbia).
The parties discussed preparations to BRICS Competition Conference that will take place in September 2019 in Moscow, including the Conference agenda, the sessions’ content and the draft Joint Statement of BRICS competition authorities that will be signed following the event.
“BRICS competition authorities are the key foreign partners for FAS. We are glad that throughout many years, we constantly have meetings, particularly, at important international events, such as the ICN Conference. It means that our agencies have formed the broad and diverse agenda, which is in the focus of all BRICS countries. We hope to actively continue the efforts in this format”, pointed out Deputy Head Andrey Tsyganov.
Head of FAS Department for International Economic Cooperation Lesya Davydova commented: “Preparing the BRICS Competition Conference is now at its active stage. We are grateful to our foreign colleagues for the active involvement in shaping the event agenda. We invite all our foreign colleagues to come to Moscow in September since the Conference discussions are of concern not only to BRICS economies but to the entire global community”.
