Cooperation with the European Union 

The FAS Russia exercises close cooperation with the European Union in a view of creating peer competition conditions at the common Russia-EU area, eliminating barriers for free movement of goods and services, preventing competition restrictions both from business entities and state authorities.

Legal basis for cooperation:

Agreement on partnership and cooperation establishing a partnership between the European Communities and their Member States, of one part, and the Russian Federation, of the other part.

-         Article 53 on Competition;

-         Article 59 on Public Procurement;

 

Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission and the Federal Antimonopoly Service

(It states the basic principles of partnership between DG COMP and FAS Russia in a view of promoting and strengthening cooperation between two Authorities in the area of competition policy, legislation and enforcement)
