“FAS remembers” project continues
The very special May 9 Victory Day is not far off.
Year by year the ranks of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War against the Nazi are thinning out, remaining fewer and fewer of those who courageously stood up for our Motherland fighting with fascism in a mortal combat. But until our hearts treasure the knowledge about the heroism of our people during the Great Patriotic War, the memory of them like the eternal light shall never die down.
A year ago, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in the war over the Nazi FAS launched a special project – “FAS remembers”.
It is devoted to the people who defended ourMotherland and thanks to whom we now live on our native soil.
The resource contains more than 1000 materials sent by our colleagues from all over Russia about their family members and friends who served in the Red Army and whose efforts on the labour front made the Victory closer.
You can see photographs of battle honors and labour awards, pictures capturing the everyday life of that period, the work of industrial enterprises.
The project pages give you stories about deeds of arms of Soviet soldiers and the life of ordinary people during the wartime.
“FAS remembers” projectcontinues. Anyone who wants to join us can send us any documents, photos, stories, photographs of battle honors and labour awards, and we will publish them on our web-site. Please send your materials to: site@fas.gov.ru
