The Government of the Orenburg region executed a FAS warning
The Government of the Orenburg regionnotifiedthe Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) about executing a FAS warning in full.
In June 2016, FAS revealed signs of violating the antimonopoly law by the Government of the Orenburg region: fixing non-statutory requirements on additional certification of the services of public catering companies.
According to the antimonopoly body, such requirements can raise barriers preventing market entry of new companies and create unreasonable costs for the incumbents.
In line with the established procedure, the Federal Antimonopoly Service issued a warning to the regional authority to eliminate the signs of the violation.
“One of the FAS objectives is to prevent violations. Applying such tools as a warning enabled eliminating a violation of the antimonopoly law prior to opening a case. Voluntary execution of the warning by the executive body proves a proper legal evaluation of the alleged violation”, said Vladimir Mishelovin, the Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department.
