Volgograd OFAS opened a case upon signs of fixing monopolistically hihgh petrol prices

The case is initiated against “LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhsknefteproduct”.

FAS regional body established that the company has the dominant position in Volgograd.  

Volgograd OFAS suspects elements of fixing monopolistically high prices since wholesale prices for petrol, grades AI-92 and AI-95 in the autumn – winter seasons went down while retail prices remained the same or grew up.  

Thus, the case was opened upon signs of violating the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (Clause 1 Part 1 Article 10).

FAS regional bodies carry out weekly monitoring of prices for oil products and analyse retail petrol prices.
