Forensic achievements in cartel proving

Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department Andrey Tenishev gave an open lecture at the Forensic Cenre of the Law Faculty at Moscow State University on using forensic methods to expose and prove cartels.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service is increasingly relying on advanced forensic developments to expose and prove cartels - the most dangerous economic crimes.

“Methods devised by FAS enable to not only expose but also prove collusions at electronic bidding, purposefully and remotely. As a result of the first testings at FAS Centre for Education and Methodics, more than 30 large cartels were exposed in different regions of Russia. Our objective is to achieve sustainable multi-parameter identification of bid-rigging cartels and implement those achievements in the daily practice of antimonopoly bodies”, emphasized Andrey Tenishev.
