Agreement in the interests of competition advocacy
On 16 May 2017, the branch of FAS Centre for Education and Methodics (Moscow) and “Kucherena & Partners” Bar Association signed the Agreement of Cooperation.
Signing the Agreement, the Bar Head, Anatoly Kuzherena, emphasized that joint projects would facilitate harmonization of relations between the Federal Antimonopoly Service and civil society: “We observe citizens’ distrust to the authorities and withdrawal of experts from solving pressing issues. An important aspect of the Agreement is developing an institution of meditation, which opens opportunities for a dialogue and achieving arrangements by the parties”. Stanislav Druzhinin, Director of FAS Centre for Education and Methodics (Moscow) emphasized such aspect of interaction as competition advocacy, using parties capabilities in developing competition law through cooperation with Russian universities, joint publishing projects.
The Agreement of Cooperation between the two organizations provides for joint conferences, workshops and Round Tables, projects aimed at competition advocacy and developing pro-competitive policy in Russia. The parties discussed possibilities of mutual consultations on competition law and antimonopoly legislation, joint research and expert work, information interaction.
