Vladimir Mishelovin: FAS has already examples of efficient practices on implementing the Competition Development Standard in the regions

To achieve a new level of quality of competition the Standard should be implemented in every region

On 7 November, Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department, Vladimir Mishelovin, and Director of a branch of FAS Centre for Education and Methodics took part in the Round Table on “Analyzing practices of implementing the Competition Development Standard” in Smolensk.

Vladimir Mishelovin outlined the best practices of the antimonopoly authority on implementing the Competition Development Standard in the subjects of the Russian Federation. “Today experience has already been accumulated and there are positive practices of implementing the Competition Development Standard in the subjects of the Russian Federation”, pointed out Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department. “Our task is to use the most efficient of them in every region to achieve a principally new level of the quality of competition. Support of businessmen’s initiatives locally will not only help solve employment, saturation of the markets with goods and services sought-after by consumers, but also obtain new sources of replenishing regional budgets”.

The speaker talked about monitoring, information support and interaction between regional FAS Offices with representatives of municipalities in the course of implementing the Competition Development Standard in the regions. Vladimir Mishelovin gave the most efficient practices of developing competition at the regional and municipal levels.

The Round Table was organized by the “Institute for support of competition between economic entities” Autonomous Non-Profit Organization. Attendees also included representatives of the authorities and NGOs of the Smolensk region.
