ALEXEI DOTSENKO: ANTIMONOPOLY COMPLIANCE WILL DECREASE THE NUMBER OF ANTIMONOPOLY VIOLATIONS BY THE AUTHORITIES

Most violations in the Amur regions concern breaching the federal law by local self-government bodies disposing of municipal property

 

During his visit to the Amur region to discuss implementation of the National Competition Development Plan in Russia and the Orders issued following the State Council, Deputy Head of FAS Alexei Dotsenko had a meeting with the staff of Amur OFAS.

 

The discussion focused on antimonopoly regulation in the region, control over advertising and procurement. The necessary explanations were given by Unit Head, FAS Legal Department, Maryana Matyashevskaya.

 

Another item was possibility of organizing a regional FAS workshop the Amur region.

 

According to Head of Amur OFAS Alexander Degodiev, the antimonopoly body continues exposing violations by the authorities and local self-government bodies in the region. Most violations in the Amur regions concern breaching the federal law by local self-government bodies disposing of municipal property.

 

“Violations of the antimonopoly law by the authorities are a serious issue, underlined in theNational Plan for Developing Competitionin Russia. For instance, by 2020 such violations must be reduced at least twofold году in comparison with 2017. The goals can be achieved, in particular, through implementing antimonopoly compliance in the work of public bodies”, concluded Alexei Dotsenko.
