The efforts on improving the competitive environment in the region will continue: the parties signed an Agreement on Cooperation

“Developing competition, removing excessive administrative burden upon business – is an essential part of the national economic policy and one of the most important priorities in the work of all authorities”, started his speech Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolev at a meeting with the Head of the Altai Republic, Alexander Berdnikov, during his working visit to Gorno-Altaisk. “To achieve these objectives, the President of Russia approved the National Competition Development Plan. FAS is now at the active stage of implementing it”.

Regarding the efforts on developing competition in the Altai Republic, Vitaly Korolev informed that the region has recently improved its FAS ranking from the 56th to the 19th position.

“You work in this area is not unnoticed. I would like to point out that your actions and decisions are regularly included in FAS “White Book” that the antimonopoly body has been compiling annually since 2014. It is a collection of the best pro-competitive practices. Other regions can freely use the experience of the Altai Republic in their work”, said Deputy Head of FAS.

Finally, Vitaly Korolev and Alexander Berdnikov signed an Agreement on Cooperation.

“The National Competition Development Plan and the Agreement will ultimately generate a positive social effect, when the population will get an expanded range of products at a reasonable, rather than excessive prices and the services and goods offered by the business community are sought after by the society”, concluded Vitaly Korolev.
